Marine Power systems were asked to perform maintenance on two Scania DI12 Р59M engines fitted to the mussel barge Wakatere, during her routine docking period in Whangarei. The scope of work includes removal of gearboxes, flywheels and replacement of rear crank seals, and tune-up work on the fuel injection systems.

The opportunity was also taken to perform routine maintenance on both Scania main engines and the Cummins 6CT auxiliary engine to ensure the continued reliability of the vessel.
