Assessing the condition of machinery is easily achieved using modern inspection procedures. In early 2017, Marine Power Systems were asked to perform condition inspections of main propulsion machinery onboard a busy Purse Seiner operating out of Tauranga. The vessel was fitted with a 16 cylinder Detroit 16V149 2 stroke main engine and Twin Disc gearbox which were inspected over the course of 2 days. A full report was submitted with recommendations for future maintenance activities to provide continued reliability of the systems.
We can perform condition surveys on any size vessel to provide direction for future maintenance and/or upgrade projects. Our reports are comprehensive and generally accepted by all MOSS surveyors and major classification societies. Please contact us to find out more.
